I think by now most of us know how important essential fatty acids are to development. An adequate amount of EFAs in a child’s diet contribute to a healthy heart, improved mental function and strong bones and teeth. Unfortunately for most kids, the recommended amount of weekly EFAs requires children to eat fatty seafood 2-3 times per week! I can cook the heck out of fish sticks for my kids but I don’t think I can stomach having my house smell like fish almost all the time!
Lucky for us, we can substitute fish oil supplements for serving seafood to our kids! NutraSea Kids is a pharmaceutical-quality fish oil with a balanced EPA/DHA ratio making it an ideal supplement for optimal health and well-being. On top of having a Pure Check quality assurance stamp for quality, purity and potency, it also comes in a berry favor that seems to mask the fishy flavor very well! I’ve been mixing it into Piper’s yogurt and applesauce and she eats both with her normal appetite!
I’ve also been trying out the NutraSea + D for myself. I’m not a health-nut, and, like I just said, I tolerate seafood. I’m not a fish enthusiast, and there’s no way I’m going to cook seafood two or three times every week. Taking the NutraSea + D supplement helps me feel like I’m doing something really good for myself. In addition, it has a nice apple flavor to mask the fishy taste. I’s so much better than the drugstore-brand fish-oil supplements I used to take! Vitamin D has become so important in our daily diets, this is a great way to be assured that I’m getting enough of it!
If you’re looking for a way to get enough essential fatty acids into your family’s diet, you should definitely check out NutraSea! An overview of the NutraSea Kids 200 supplement can be found here.

Oh! I had no idea I could get flavored fish oil! The vitamin-d is an extra bonus, too. Thanks for writing about this. I’m so excited to find out more about this!
