I’m a lucky blogger. Even though I couldn’t attend an exclusive screening of The Odd Life of Timothy Green last weekend, I still was able to participate in a quick telephone interview with CJ Adams, the 12 year old who plays the title character of Timothy Green in the film.
Here are just a few of my favorite parts of the interview:
What what your favorite part about playing the role of Timothy Green?
CJ Adams: It was just being such a sweet boy. I liked playing someone who is different and unique.
Is there anything you learned from the character of Timothy Green?
CJ Adams: I just want kids to learn that, no matter who the person is or how they act, like a bully or anything else–treat them the way you want to be treated.
What is the best thing about Timothy and do you have that trait?
CJ Adams: [Timothy Green] is very truthful. The best thing about Timothy is he treats everyone the same no matter how they act and that’s what I do too. Having a good heart was the best thing about Timothy.
How did you prepare yourself for playing the role of Timothy Green?
CJ Adams: I learned all the personalities Timothy Green had by reading the script. Then, I put them all together to become Timothy. That’s really how I prepared for the role.
The interview was a 20-minute whirlwind of questions and answers. CJ Adams seems incredibly sweet and his personality really seems to fit the role of Timothy Green!
