I am the type of woman who carriers her whole life in her purse. I try to go with smaller bags and I end up overstuffing them until I can't find anything without digging through stacks of “necessities.” I'm the same way with diaper bags. I like to come up with every item I might possibly need and take it with me, just in case Haiden or Piper needs it.
I can usually justify toting around a diaper bag chock full of stuff, especially if I can hang it on a stroller and forget about it. It does seem a bit over-the-top when I only have one child and I'm not planning on going for a long time. After all, both Haiden and Piper are off the bottle, potty-trained and generally content. There's just not much that I realistically need if I have a good plan in place.
It's nice to have a compact bag to throw a few essentials into, and I'm so happy I have the Infantino Savvy Bag to meet my needs in that area. The Savvy Bag is a baby changing “clutch” that is perfect for moms with babies from newborns to toddlers. There are some nice features. The Infantino Savvy Bag:
- Contains a removable, fold-out, water-resistant pad to transform any surface into a changing area.
- Has a compact construction that can still hold a few diapers, a soft pack of wipes, a bottle and a small change of clothes.
- Shows off a fabulously modern design that keeps mom looking and feeling hip while toting everything for baby.
I do wish that the Infantino Savvy bag had an insulated pocket to keep bottles cool on the go. Other than that, you just need to be prepared to pare down your usual overstocked diaper bag, if you're anything like me!
Overall, I do have to admit that it's nice to travel light for a change. I'll definitely be carrying smaller diaper bags in the future!
Buy it: The Infantino Savvy Bag is available from Step2.com for $22.99 + $6.99 shipping. I'm hoping to see it in retail stores or on Amazon to cut down on shipping costs!
