Is Angry Birds the universal game for young and old? Whenever my dad is around, he wants to play Angry Birds on my iPad. So does my 6 year-old niece. My 12 year-old nephew loves it, too.
I think the kids would be way more into the toys I'm writing about, but I don't think there's anyone who wouldn't get hooked on Angry Birds if they had the chance to play the game!
