And for good reason! The music is amazing (someone on threads made me laugh when they said, “I think they put crack into the Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack“), the animation is unique, the story is really engaging, and the characters are super fun.
So it makes sense that kids everywhere are wanting to dress up like Rumi, Mira and Zoey for Halloween. I’ve put together some really easy guides for you to make Kpop Demon Hunters DIY costumes on your own.

Rumi Kpop Demon Hunters costume DIY
Rumi is the main character of Kpop Demon Hunters. Her mom was also a Kpop demon hunter, and they’re both secretly part demon. Her signature feature is her long, bubbly purple braid that looks like a mohawk.
Rumi is one third of the K-pop group Huntr/x, and I’m sharing the elements of her costume from Rumi’s How It’s Done performance. It’s the most memorable of her outfits, and you can gather a lot of everyday items to put it together!

Zoey Kpop Demon Hunters DIY costume
Zoey is another member of Huntrx, the Kpop group that moonlights as demon hunters. She’s a rapper, she throws knives and daggers, and she wears lots of earrings. Add in her amazing cropped halter top and cute hair buns and she’s pretty much who I wanted to be when I was young.
Zoey’s costume for How It’s Done is sporty streatwear. The whole look is really unique when it coems together, but the individual parts are fairly easy to find.

Mira Kpop Demon Hunters DIY costume
Mira is the third member of Huntrix, the Kpop Demon Hunters musical group. She’s the lead dancer and choeographer of the band. Most importantly, she has a seriously badass weapon: a crescent-shaped blade with a long handle that she uses to hunt demons. It’s called a Gok-Do and it’s impressive!
Mira’s look in How It’s Done is a cropped graphic tee, yellow jean skirt, thigh-high boots and a wallet chain.
