fitbit surge review

If you're looking to get more active or lead a healthier lifestyle, one of the first steps you can take is finding a fitness tracker that works for you.

So many fitness trackers have entered the market over the past few years that it's hard to know which one is right for you. There are several options for basic models that do minimal tracking, and it can be tempting to zero in on the lowest price point.

This is something you really need to know before you start shopping: you'll be addicted to your fitness tracker as soon as you start using it regularly.

More importantly, if you go with a basic model, you'll quickly want more and better features than the simple step-counting and sleep tracking that those models offer.

Because…

  • If you start counting your steps soon you'll want to know how many floors you've climbed.
  • If you start monitoring your sleep you'll soon wish it just sensed your sleep and wake times.
  • If you like checking a display to see your steps you'll soon want to see all your stats on that screen.
  • If you check your fitness tracker after a run, you'll want to see the impact to other workouts, like cycling, weightlifting, spinning and yoga.

fitbit surge review

The Fitbit Surge is a device that does everything you need a fitness tracker to do, plus so much more!

Before I get to the actual product description, I think the actual Fitbit Surge reviews say a lot more about how real people use — and love — this superwatch!

Fitbit Surge Reviews

“I have always been a fan of Fitbit and this Surge is amazing. It has all the features I would want in a super watch. I can read my texts, see my calls. Built in heart rate, floor/stair counter, optional workouts, GPS, everything!!”

“…as far of ease of use, compared to other fitness watches, this thing is a dream, fairly idiot-proof and for the price, probably the best bang for your buck.”

“I've had so many different HR monitors and trackers and [the Fitbit Surge] is, by far, the best. The screen is big enough so that I can see it without reading glasses, and I can see it in sunlight with sunglasses. It's easy to use, especially for a non-techie.”

“This is definitely well worth the investment. NOW, I've tried a few of these [fitness trackers], this one by far has been better at not only tracking my workouts and steps, but at motivating me to do more.”

My favorite feature is the Surge’s heart rate monitoring feature. I have a lot of “issues,” including a leaking heart valve, and my heart rate gets up there pretty quickly when I exercise. Since I don’t know what the actual rate is, I always feel like I back off or stop too soon. More exercise = better health, and I need all the help I can get! Thanks for the chance.

Sleep monitor is the very best thing about this, since most smart phones do a lot of these features, the sleep function lets you know what time you fell asleep and how long you were in deep sleep REM and when you started to wake up..Over the course of a few days you can see how beneficial this is.. what a great watch!!
