How cute is this new poster for Disney’s newest animated movie, Frozen? I seriously can’t wait to hear Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff singing on this soundtrack, plus the story sounds fantastic!
Besides, there’s a reindeer named Sven and a snowman named Olaf as supporting characters in the movie. My inner Scandinavian ancestry is jumping for joy 🙂

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph, presents Frozen, a stunning big-screen comedy adventure.
Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.
Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
The film is directed by Chris Buck (Tarzan, Surf’s Up) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, Wreck-It Ralph), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (Winnie the Pooh, The Princess and the Frog). Featuring music from Tony winner Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (In Transit), Frozen is in theaters in 3D on November 27, 2013.

I have a feeling those two characters are going to be a huge hit with the audience! How can they not be hilarious?

Hey! I’m so happy to find someone who recognizes the broadway talent that often makes its way into Disney movies. Every new Disney animated movie has me looking at the cast, and not for the famous actors and comedians that everyone else looks for. It thrills me when I see someone like you who also recognizes the singers who add SO MUCH to these films!
Marybeth Hamilton says
Annalise, There are a few of us out there! I’ve been connecting voices on Disney soundtracks to broadway actors and actresses for a long time. I think it helped me appreciate Disney movies on a deeper level, and it helped connect me to Broadway musicals at an age where I may not have cared about them as much. Because of that, my Broadway obsession started when I was a pre-teen and now I’m a Disney fanatic as an adult 🙂

I’m excited to see all the gorgeous winter scenery Disney creates!
Marybeth Hamilton says
Great point, Sara. Disney definitely knows what it’s doing with making scenery beautiful. I’m sure it will be something to see!
Kristie says
Mary Beth — Since you’re from Minnesota that means you actually know people named Sven and Olaf, right? 😉
Marybeth Hamilton says
LOL! That really did make me laugh! I honestly don’t know anyone named Sven and Olaf, but I DO know kids named Ole, Finn and Lars. Do they count?
Kristie says
Ha! I love it!
