It’s no secret that buying items secondhand (like from Once Upon a Child) is a fantastic way to save money on baby and kids stuff. I know plenty of people who have sold used items that were practically new.
While I’m a fan of garage sales for finding those gently used items (and places like decluttr for selling them), I understand that sometimes shopping at yard sales can be a lot of work and time invested with little reward!
An alternative to making the effort of finding garage sales with quality items at a fair price is shopping online for secondhand items.
Buying and selling used items online has become tremendously easy since nearly everyone has access to the internet.
Shopping for secondhand items at UsedEverywhere.com and their network of local sites is actually an enjoyable experience that lets you easily browse for products that interest you, or narrow in and search for the exact item you’re looking for!
While we’re always looking for secondhand baby and kids items at amazing prices, I’ve actually seen just about everything there, and it’s a great way to offload a wide variety of unused items. If you want to sell a used horse saddle, you can! If you want to sell your used books, there’s a section for that. Electronics, furniture, clothing, household goods…it’s all there.
UsedEverywhere provided a list of their most popular items sold on their sites. Honestly, it seems like you’d be hard pressed to not find what you’re looking for if you’re in the market and area for these items:
- Children’s Toys
- Children’s Clothing
- Books, Videos & Educational Items
- Baby & Toddler Toys
- Kids Furniture
- Children’s footwear
- Strollers
- Playground Equipment
- High Chairs
- Children’s & Babies’ Clothing
UsedEverywhere is also a fabulous place to sell your extra items! Since selling only requires a photo and computer, the process is quick and easy. Best of all, listing your items on UsedEverywhere is FREE!

It makes sense to utilize online classifieds for this. When I was a kid there was a steady flow of hand me downs from my brother and I wasn’t keen on a lot of it… so why not use sites like UsedEverywhere.com to find hand me downs from hundreds of other kids so you can get the best of the best stuff at great value and your kids might like it better than getting stuff that their siblings have used.

My wife and I use this site all the time for our two young daughters. They’re constantly out growing their clothes and toys and this site is perfect tool for us to sell those items to keep our house from getting over crowded with their unused items.
