A Few Tips
C is the parent of many letters. Once your child can form a confident C stroke, they are already halfway to writing G, O, Q, and lowercase a, d, e, and g — all of which start with that same counterclockwise curve. Point that out and watch it click.
The stroke goes counterclockwise. Start at the 2 o’clock position, curve up and around to the left, and stop at the 4 o’clock position. Kids who start at the wrong point often end up drawing a backward C. If you see that, focus on the starting position before anything else.
Laminate it. A page protector and dry-erase marker means unlimited practice. The smoother surface is actually easier for kids still building pencil control.
