An alphabet tracing sheet displays uppercase and lowercase letters in dotted lines for tracing, with each letter neatly positioned on horizontal guide lines. Uppercase letters appear first, followed by lowercase.

Free Alphabet Tracing Sheet

This free printable alphabet tracing sheet covers all 26 letters in one page. It has uppercase A through Z in the top section, and lowercase a through z in the bottom section.

This sheet is a practical option for kids who have already worked through individual letter practice and are ready to trace the full alphabet in one sitting, or for teachers who need a quick no-prep activity that covers all 26 letters at once.

What’s on This Sheet

  • All 26 uppercase letters A-Z to trace with dashed outlines
  • All 26 lowercase letters a-z to trace with dashed outlines

This one-page worksheet prints on a sheet of standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

A Few Tips

Use it as a progress check. Because this sheet covers every letter at once, it is a useful snapshot of where your child is in their learning journey. Letters they trace confidently tell you what is solid. Letters that come out shaky or reversed tell you which individual worksheet to pull next.

Try a highlighter first. Trace over the dashed outlines with a highlighter, then have your child trace over your highlighting with a pencil. The extra color gives them a clearer guide before working independently.

Do one row at a time. Five letters per sitting is plenty for most young learners. Frequent breaks are important! There’s no rule that says the whole sheet has to be completed in one session.
