Remember when I asked for advice on a double stroller? Piper was only a month old and already our Graco Duoglider wasn’t working for us. I did a ton of research, but I didn’t want to get stuck with another model that I didn’t like. Thankfully, Bumbleride recently came along and offered me the a Bumbleride Indie Twin to review. I have to say I was beyond thrilled at the opportunity to try out such a sweet ride for my little ones, and the timing couldn’t have been any better!
Bumbleride Indie Twin Review
Bumbleride sent me the Indie Twin in Lava. Here’s what it looked like delivered:
The box weighed about 36 pounds. It was big and heavy, but not so much that I couldn’t get it inside the house by myself! Here’s what the Indie Twin looked like before assembly:
I was pleasantly surprised at the minimal amount of pieces! I admit, assembling things is usually my husband’s domain, so I really can’t compare it to other strollers, but this one only took about 25 minutes to fully put together. After the stroller was ready, I was surprised to see that some accessories were included that usually cost extra on other strollers. I found a high-quality rain cover and an infant car seat adapter, along with a tire air pump, jogging strap, cup holder, headrests and shoulder straps. I was so happy to receive the infant car seat adapter! Piper is still in an infant “carrier” style car seat, and I don’t want her exposed to the Minnesota cold. The adapter means I can just drop her car seat right onto the stroller, strap it in with the safety belt, then run inside!
After the stroller was assembled, I folded it up to get it ready to go. I did need to read the directions to figure out how to collapse it the first time, but it wasn’t too complicated. The Indie Twin includes several handles to make folding and carrying a snap, once you know how! Then I loaded it up in the car to take it for a spin at a few local stores. At 34 pounds, it’s a little lighter than my other double stroller, and the carrying handle on the back made it manageable to lift it up into the car. I have a Ford Escape SUV that doesn’t have much cargo space to begin with, and it does take up a lot of room. However, it seems like every double stroller takes up a lot of space, so I wasn’t surprised or disappointed by that fact. Since having my babies, I’ve come to realize that I will never be able to travel lightly again!
Once we were at Best Buy, I took the new double stroller out of the car to unfold it. I had forgotten to try this step at home, but the handles and design were intuitive enough that I could do it without instructions. I was able to pop Piper into her side very easily with the car seat adapter. There’s an accompanying safety strap that works like a seatbelt to ensure the car seat stays in place, and that was also easy to fasten. Then I buckled Haiden into his seat without incident and inside we went.
The handle adjusts from 32-45″ off the ground, so I found the height that was comfortable and started moving. The Bumbleride Indie Twin handles and maneuvers like a dream! I’m able to push it and turn it around corners with just one hand, leaving the other one available to get a sippy cup or replace a pacifier. It also has a huge storage basket, which I love. The final fantastic feature of this stroller is the large pair of sun canopies. Really, I’ve never seen bigger on any stroller. These help in shielding the wind in the weather we’re currently experiencing. In the summer, we walk outside a lot, and the giant sun canopies will help keep Haiden and Piper comfortable and shaded from the sun.
I have to say that adjusting to a side-by-side stroller like this one does take some getting used to after using a tandem-style for several months. I’ve made it through every doorway, but just barely for some single doors. It’s also a bit more challenging to shop for clothes, because sometimes it’s difficult to fit the stroller between racks. However, I think that’s the trade-off with nearly any side-by-side stroller, and I certainly know that tandem strollers have their own set of challenges!
To sum up my feelings, I just keep thinking that the Bumbleride Indie Twin would be the best double stroller for Disney World (or any other vacation, for that matter)! It folds up quickly, the kids are beyond comfortable in it, it maneuvers easily, and it’s extremely durable. I didn’t know it was possible to be so excited to use a stroller!
Bumbleride Jam Pack Review
Bumbleride also sent me the Jam Pack in Lava to match the Indie Twin. I’ve also been experiencing some diaper bag woes, and this really helped me out!
The Bumbleride Jam Pack is a versatile new style of bag that converts from a shoulder bag to a kid-sized backpack. This is a compact bag that seems to magically fit everything I need to carry with me in a diaper bag for two kids under two years old! The dimensions aren’t enormous, 12x12x4.5, but the Jam Pack is designed in such a way that I can fit two outfits, formula, two bottles, diapers, wipes, snacks, bibs and burp clothes into it. At the same time, it’s so small that I can’t lose anything in there. It’s definitely the most efficient diaper bag I’ve owned, and I’m shocked that it works for everything I need to carry with me!
In addition to the efficient design, I love the stylish brushed silver hardware and the detachable strap. It makes it really easy to hook onto the stroller, which is a huge benefit given the width of the stroller handle. I also love that the Jam Pack is available in the same colors as the Bumbleride strollers. It’s so fun to have a bag that matches the stroller! Finally, I’m not a fan of “cute” diaper bags. I want something that blends in with my clothing. If I’m lucky, it won’t look like a diaper bag at all! The Bumbleride Jam Pack definitely fits the bill! It’s square shape could pass for a satchel, and it’s dad-friendly, too!
All in all, I am loving the Bumbleride Indie Twin with the matching Jam Pack bag. I’ve finally found the stroller of my dreams, and we’re going to use it all the time! I highly recommend this stroller!

Even though Allie is 2, and in my opinion, does NOT really need a stroller, I'd love to have it since she's at that "I wanna be picked up" stage.
