Medela is recalling a “very small number” of the Pump in Style Advanced breast pumps. They didn’t release any defining details like model numbers or physical characteristics of the affected pumps, so we can assume that all “styles” of the PISA could potentially be included in the recall.
Essentially, there’s a piece that may cause the motor to stop working. If your Medela breast pump was purchased after February 2010 and has one of the following symptoms, visit the press release page to find how to get a new pump in exchange for yours.
- The pump will not turn on.
- The pump turns off on its own.
- The pump reduces or loses suction during the pumping process.
- The pump is making a clicking noise.
All details on this recall can be found on Medela’s website.
