Every worksheet in this collection follows the same format:

How to get the most out of these printables
Start with the numbered dotted lines. Before your child picks up a pencil, look at the numbered arrows together. Knowing the correct starting point and direction from the beginning prevents habits that are hard to break later.
Use the counting illustration. The animal pictures on each sheet are a counting exercise. Have your child point to and count each animal before starting the worksheet. If your child enjoys coloring, make sure they have the chance to color the animals.
Laminate for reuse. Slide a printed sheet into a page protector and let your child use a dry-erase marker. One print covers unlimited practice sessions.
Do the recognition activity last. The “Circle the number” section at the bottom is the most challenging: it requires your child to identify the target number among distractors. Save it for after the tracing practice when the number is fresh.
