Pumpkin Pie Rice Krispie Treats
All the flavors of fall combined into a favorite snack! These pumpkin pie Rice Krispie treats are spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, with the rich taste of pumpkin adding delicious flavor!
Did you know that the famous pumpkin spice latte has been around for 10 years? That’s 10 years since the spicy pumpkin flavors we generally associated with the season pretty much became the official flavor of fall.

Since then, pumpkin spice has become the brunt of plenty of jokes. People call it “basic” and love making fun of the people who drink pumpkin spice lattes. But there’s a reason it’s still around: pumpkin spice is just delicious.

Another reason why we all keep drinking and eating pumpkin everything when the leaves start changing color? It’s adaptable.
Just about every sweet item (like the pumpkin spice rice krispie treats recipe below) can easily be changed to make them “pumpkin spiced.”
Side note: Even some savory items pair well with pumpkin spice! Trader Joe’s Autumnal Harvest pasta sauce is incredible and their pumpkin soup is also amazing.
I love baking and cooking and doing my own thing with recipes, but it’s totally fine if you’re not the same way!
It’s pretty amazing what happens when you combine two simple but delicious treats, and combining pumpkin pie with rice krispie treats turned out even better than had imagined it would!

when do you add the Rice Krispies
Ryan says
Added rice crispy after combining melted marshmallows and pumpkin. My rice crispies went soggy. Not sure how to change it so this doesn’t happen.

I think that you have to put pumpkin purée on paper towel to absorb liquid prior to adding to recipe. Maybe about 15 minutes or so.
