Halloween is just around the corner, and it’s time to add to my ever-growing s of free pumpkin carving stencils!

I’m a big Marvel fan. This year, I’m focusing on making and rounding up various free printable pumpkin templates from my favorite movies.

While Deadpool isn’t at the top of my list of my favorites (I mean, there’s Spider-Man Homecoming, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Dr. Strange…), it’s my husband’s favorite Marvel movie. It’s always fun to watch movies from the franchise with him, because his laughs are so contagious.

So my first printable pumpkin stencil collection of the season is going to feature the alter ego of Wade Winston Wilson, mercenary hero.

About Deadpool

Deadpool is a Marvel comics character who was originally affiliated with X-Men.

Wade Wilson is the character behind the Deadpool mask. His origin story is that he was dishonorably discharged from the US Special Forces and then was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He volunteered for an experimental treatment that gave him a regenerative healing capability.

The treatment turns out to be torture. In addition to that, it also leaves Wilson disfigured and covered in scars. He becomes a vigilante, wearing a full superhero suit to hide his body, and a distinct mask that covers his entire face. (source)

The latest movie is the franchise is Deadpool and Wolverine. Before that, there was Deadpool and Deadpool 2.

Deadpool is famously played by Ryan Reynolds, and his character has appeared in the following movies:

About carving pumpkins

I have a lot of experience carving pumpkins with printable patterns.

The first tip I can give you is to pick out your pattern before buying your pumpkin. Your chosen stencil will give you an idea if you want a short, tall or round pumpkin.

If you don’t do this, you can still use your stencil on your pumpkin, but you might need to adjust the size.

Deadpool pumpkin stencils

The Deadpool Logo is a fun way to show your love of the movie this Halloween.

You can also make a complex Deadpool design by carving the movie logo into one side of your pumpkin and then carving another pattern into the opposite side.

This Deadpool mask is a step up from being an easy pumpkin carving pattern, but I still think it’s a beginner design.

It’s also nice because it’s more of an “if you know, you know” design. True fans will recognize the image, and most people will get it if you tell them what it is.

Finally, this is my favorite Deadpool pumpkin stencil. The head is formed by the classic Deadpool symbol. Two guns form his body, and crossing swords fill out the rest of the template.
